Located on the shores of the sacred Lake Atitlan, Saasil is an eco-retreat center in the small town of Tzununá, which means ‘hummingbird’ in Kaqchikel, the native language. Saasil has a world-class yoga shala, surrounded by lush jungle and inspiring views of the volcanoes. There is a cozy cafe space to connect with others while eating homemade, fresh food by the incredible local staff. You can lounge on a hammock by the river, get a massage, meditate on the rooftop deck with views of the sunrise over the Lake. Saasil is the optimal place to relax and connect with the world both within you and around you.

What To Expect

  • Culture and Nature Immersion

    Tzununá and the lake are full of places to explore! While we will do some excursions as a group, you are welcome to continue adventuring during your free time. There are options for every level of adventurer.

  • 3 Daily Farm Fresh Meals

    Meals home-cooked with love by an incredible staff of local women. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided every day. Extra snacks and smoothies available for an additional cost.

  • Daily Yoga & Workshops

    Morning and evening yoga practice led by your facilitators, Emilie and Gabbi, in the beautiful Yoga Shala or rooftop deck. During free time, the shala is open for self-practice.

    Workshops include Writing for Self-Reflection, Exploring the Nervous System and RAIN, Neuroplasticity, Enneagram, and Vision Boarding.

Included in the retreat price -

  • 6 nights at Saasil Retreat Center

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner for each day at Saasil. Please note on the day of our arrival, only dinner will be provided. On the morning of our departure, only breakfast will be served.

  • All yoga classes, workshops, and excursions. This includes 2 daily classes (8 total), 6 workshops, 2 excursions, and opening and closing circles.

  • Flights to/from Guatemala
